Morning All... o/

OK, I'm bored and tired, and thinking of taking a break somewhere, but I'm a; untraveled, and b; very picky...

I have no idea where to look. We (2 of us, both 27) stayed at the Hilton Fayroux in Sharm El Shiekh last year, which was nice, but the food wasnt really us... We're very English in terms of diet, and prefer eating something we know we like rather than trying new dishes.

I'd like air conditioning in the hotel, a pool (prefereably with a swim up bar), a sea view, somewhere warm and English, not really fussed about clubs, but a few nice pubs / bars / restaurants would be nice...

I like the idea of somewhere in the Carribean, but don't really want to fly so far for a week away. I like the idea of a Mediteranean cruise, but again, I think you need a fortnight to make it work, and I reckon a proper one would probably run to about 4 grand, which isn't exactly sensible at the moment...

I like Cornwall, but obviously it's too bloody cold for this time of year, and in truth it's not as well developed in terms of the fancy hotels / pools etc as I'd like...

Don't want to go shopping or see the sights, just a relaxing week away somewhere warm, doing absolutley nothing except maybe digging a huge hole on the beach... :D

I know I'm old, boring and uncultured, but damn it I just don't care... :D

So, does anywhere exists that is:-

A direct flight of up to 3-4 hours away
Warm at this time of year
English food / culture
Nice air-conditioned hotel with pool and preferably a sea view
Not full of chavvy kids that don't know their limits

Does not compute.

What about Italy (everyone likes italian food no?) or Malta. Not that hot right now... But hey, I'd rather be there than some trashy resort.

Or skiing...
