Spec me an 8GB+ mp3 player

I would go for a Cowon D2, but I'm not so sure about using the internal memory + SD cards. Need something portable-ish, and not an ipod or creative (from my experience ipods aren't the best music quality and creative players are sloooooow.)

That narrows it down a bit. Which is the smallest of these players and what size SD cards are available? Doesn't using SD cards make file transfer slower?

Great, thanks. I'll look into buying a 4GB D2 with an 8GB SD card,as it ends up cheaper than buying the 8GB model.
How is the touchscreen on these? Hoping it's not very fiddly.

The Meizu isn't upgradable though, is it? Just 8GB might be stretching it, as the reason I'm looking for a new mp3 player is that I've just filled my NW-A1000 (6GB)

Looks like I'm all sold on the D2, apart from the price, that is.
