Spec me an ADSL Router :)

Hello all - first post so take it easy. I know it's against etiquette to register on a forum and bash in straight away with a question however I did try and use the search and see if I could find something relevant to my question...

Basically I need a new ADSL Router. I currently have a Netgear DG834Gv2 and have had it for years! But it seems to be giving up now as the Wifi is playing up on it - plus I have needs which must be satisfied which the Netgear can;t do.

First of all the router I am after must have Wireless N and at least 1 gigabit ethernet port.

The most important need I have is that somehow - it can prioritise a certain devices traffic (QoS?). I basically play online with the ps3 and xbox but as soon as one of the kids or someone bangs on Youtube - well it's lag city from there on!

I know the Draytek 2820N can have multiple SSID's etc and can fulfil my needs but that's around the £180 mark.

Is there anything which is a little cheaper available?

Appreciate any help.

cheers mate thats certainly a candidate.

How would the QoS work on a home router? Do i basically specify the IP address of the device which I would want to prioritise the traffic for and adjust accordingly?

To tell you the truth I'm not entirely sure with this router as I don't have it myself (but really want one :) ), maybe some of the reviews will give you the info you need. Here's one.

QoS can be configured in a dedicated menu interface, but there are no preset options to make life easier for beginners. Like the site blocking feature, you can set a schedule, which is handy if, for example, you only want to give a high priority to your BitTorrent client during off-peak hours to avoid having your connection speed throttled. Other features include DDNS via numerous free and paid-for providers, remote admin access, a VPN pass-through, wake on LAN and a telnet configuration interface.
