my friend has picke dup his first guitar! can you spec some songs for him to learn? as im not really familiar with whats easy and hard!

If it's an acoustic tune it to DADGAD and make up wierd shapes, it sounds amazing and surely must be some form of cheating.
I've only ever learnt one song by someone else, its married with children by oasis, it's easy enough, the tabs on the internet are harder than it needs to be though, just learn what bar chords in E and Am are then you can just slide up and down instead of whatever crazy shapes it asks you.

Best thing to do is pick a song you think you can play and look up the tabs.
Once you've learned all the Maj and Minor chords theres quite a few songs you can play.
Also get a cappo as quite a lot of songs use the basic chord shapes but with a cappo in place.

Cappo and 5 minutes = learning the main chords for Wonderwall.

Two of my band members are trying to form a Quo tribute band and they're finding it hard because theres always that bit in the song that isn't straightforward.
