Spec me something reliable - £1000 - £1500

My first one I had for 18 months, drove it like it was stolen from stone cold every day, properly abused it and it just didn't break, I then sold it to a fellow member here who carried on using it, did another 30k in it, he had to replace the clutch (he did up the power though) and a piece of the exhaust.
Either way, they are pretty bomb-proof, which is something I need right now.
The only reason I got rid of it before was because I was bored of it and wanted something faster
- Right now I cannot afford to buy a car myself, and run a high maintenance performance car, I'm being bought one, so I'm going for one I had such great success with before. Considering I'm being bought it, I doubt I'll get bored of it anytime soon (took 18 months before), and I don't have the van anymore either, anything with 4 wheels I'm going to be grateful for, it just makes sense to go for another when the last one was so good!
EDIT: Just reread and it can come across as me saying the Saab is a high maintenance performance car, which it isnt. Just has a bit of grunt, 150bhp, nothing major. Can fit a boost controller if I want mowah though.
