Spec me the cheapest double skinned pop-up tent...!

The decathlon ones are fantastic. I have a 3 manner but I only use it myself as I like my room. Its been to Leeds twice, global gathering and about 10 normal camping trips. Its completely waterproof even when its sloshing it down!! For £35 they are the real deal.

Took ten minutes for me to figure out how the Jersey S folds back down. Read the instructions carefully. They are clear up until the last bit where you "make the 2 circles as 1". The thing to visualise (for me) is the you need to overlap the ends of the tentpoles a bit. It is as if you started to make the poles look like keyrings but stopped before overlapping it too much.

Have you checked gooutdoors.co.uk to see if they have any good tents. I would have bought a regular 3 berth tent for £35 from them if I could have been bothered driving all the way over to them.

I picked up a Flash Fuse* II from Millets for £24.99. It's two-man, but it works really well.

*might have been Flare, actually

cool guys i also need a tent wanna do the camping thing with my son in the back garden his pals have recently done it with their dad and he's banging on about it constantly.

Everytime I say I bought him something he thinks its a tent

The Jersey is cheap and has by far the highest waterproof rating (3000mm HH) in a tent for <£40 that I have found by trawling Blacks, Millets, Go Outdoors, Tiso, and the online retailers. Beware the tents with ratings under 1500mm HH. "Waterproof" fabric has a rating of 1500mm and above. There are a bunch of "festival" and "weekend" tents out there with ratings of 1000mm and 1200mm.

If the best cheap tent I could find was a regular non pop-up then I would have bought that - there is one I considered for £25 + delivery that Gooutdoors had but the delivery time was 5+ days.

I haven't tested it yet, but it has a double skin, taped seams, and good waterproof fabric. I'm off camping in an hour and I like my chances!
