Spec me the cheapest skyrim PC possible

I am just looking for ideas for a friend of mine who is considering building his first PC.
He isn't after something monstrous as budgets are tight, but something that can play skyrim, witcher 2, fallout 3, new vegas, dark souls, etc. at 1080p comfortably.

I know a little bit after building my own PC a few months ago, but i'm not too familiar with lower-end components. (especially CPU, PSU and motherboard)

I don't have a budget in mind, just as-low-as-possible.
EDIT: no more than £550

I am thinking that a 7850 sapphire would be a good GPU but is there something suitable that is cheaper?

Thanks in advance!

How low are we talking and the definition comfortably is a bit....

i told him £550 and he seems happy with that, although as i said, the lower the better.

'comfortably' meaning 40fps+, does that sound about right?
The 7850 runs skyrim at 83fps according to anandtech, which seems more than enough, so a lesser graphics card recommendation is welcome.

an i3 paired with a cheap motherboard, 4gb ram and a 7850 would be good.

that's what i was thinking....
something like this:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Sapphire HD 7850 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card w/ FARCRY3 & Sleeping Dogs PC Games £155.99
1 x Intel Core i3-3220 3.30GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £89.99
1 x Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-Bit - OEM (GFC-02050) £79.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £79.99
1 x PC Power & Cooling Silencer Mk III Series 500W '80 Plus Bronze' Modular Power Supply - White £59.99
1 x Xigmatek Asgard Pro Gaming Case - Black £32.99
1 x TeamGroup Elite 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (TED38GM1600HC11DC01) £29.99
1 x OcUK 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £14.99
Total : £558.01 (includes shipping : £11.75).

Those components are just guesses really, i'm after confirmation of whether they are good quality (especially the PSU) and whether there are cheaper components that would do the job.

this come in just over budget but id go with the 500w version of that psu just for some saftey margin.

The 430W one is plenty.

28A on the 12V line gives a 336W output.
150W for the HD7850 and 77W for the i3 3220 gives 227W total and still leaves plenty of headroom for the rest of the components.

i'm more inclined to go for the 2gb version of the 7850 as it is only £5 more..... in fact, what is the point of the 1gb version existing?

PSU is a bargain! is it reliable?

all the other components look alright. You can probably leave out a hard drive as i am can pick a good one, and i'll probably buy from somewhere other than OCUK.
