Spec me: Things to do in Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp

Antwerp is an awesome place.

Stopped there for a couple of hours on the way back from Germany
(Xmas markets weekend) & wasn't that impressed.

Bruges on the other hand is great (especially at Xmas time) so take your Camera. Not cheap to eat in the town square restaurants though.

If you're into art, one of the worlds greatest paintings is in Ghent cathedral: the Ghent Altarpiece.

In summary: love Ghent, Bruges is OK, but not as cool as Ghent.

I think the place you were talking about is Amadeus! Tried to get in 3 nights on the trot... but it's fully booked ALL the time! Mega popular. Will def try another time, at some point. Generally speaking, we found a lot of nice restaurants in Ghent.

Favourite beer is Orval, by a long way.
