Hi all, I'm looking at buying some new headphones as the Razor ones I have are rubbish.

I've owned two what I would call nice headphones before, one being the beat studio pros and the either being the HDJ-2000 but sadly both no longer work. I don't really know much about headphones but I want something that I can use for gaming and music really. I'm guessing my budget for these would be around £350-£450. I want something comfortable that I can wear for hours with no issue. Not too fussed about wired or wireless although I guess wireless might be cool.

Also with the new Apple headphones coming out next month I'm trying to find out if I can get something like that better for around the same money so around £200. I like the idea of it being wireless and them being separate although I'm not sure if there are any others out there. Again wired or wireless I'm not too fussed. I would use these in the gym and at work but at work I can only have 1 ear bud in. These would be pretty much used purely for gaming.

Thanks

Gaming/Music -
Depends on the sound signature you like and the games you play. If its pure positional and soundstage you're after then some AKG 700's generally seem to be the most recommended.
I personally prefer a warmer sound signature and have been very happy with the Beyerdynamic DT880's in the past. Both of these are well under that budget and would probably last longer than you have experienced so far.

Your second spec is contradicting - do you want earphones or headphones, and Gym/gaming headphones?

If you're after some earphones you could probably throw around a bit and get a little sweaty - maybe some Jaybird X2's might work well for you.

Audio technica have some good ones that have been catching my eye. Headphones are kinda addictive purchases.

A bit old now but the Phillips Fidelio X1's I have are extremely comfortable, I can wear them for hours easily. They are open backed though, which means sound leaks out a bit. They also sound amazing.

The Beyerdynamic DT 770's I have at work are the opposite, and I can't wear them for long.

If you're quick on the gaming front there is on massdrop some akg7xx that have 1 day left at $200 which would be a very good choice

I have some Sennheiser Wireless Momentum 2.0 (over ear) for music, movie and a little gaming......great 'phones, but perhaps with a bent towards music.
For gym use, I have some Shure SE315s which have been trusty companions for a few years. Perhaps a couple to consider?
