my mates needs the following

mobo: for sandybridge i5 that supports sli x16 speed for 280gtx (£150)
PSU: to support 280gtx sli and i5 hdd and other esstientials £50-60 - told him hell needs more cash here
suggest power requirements please?

i think 750w?

Dual Channel Ram: 2x4GB? £80

spec away

GX 750W from cooler master will do that for nearly half the price of the corsair.

That's a very poor psu. Check out the terrible reviews it's been getting.

The Antec Truepower new Modular 750w would be a good one to go for.
