Spec us a Conroe system - to a budget of £400/£450. OR £500 @ a stretch

What I need is:
CPU
Motherboard
RAM
Graphics Card
HDD
Maybe Case & PSU

It will need to be able to do most games BUT be long-term upgradable (Would prefer a not so good CPU/Graphics in favour of a good long-term mobo).
The user of it (not me) won't be doing much OC'ing, so a good ASUS mobo should be suitable.

I've got no clue if this is a good Asus motherboard but it is all compatible as far as I can tell, there isn't much that can be done with the budget beyond going for a fairly basic system but this ought to do.

I've only ever bought expensive motherboards apart from one, which has turned out to be completely lame - so the prospect of a cheapo mobo is no.

I'm more inclined to go for a better motherboard, as that's the one component that would be right at the bottom of the upgrade list.

What about the:
MB-152-AS Asus P5W DH Deluxe WiFi (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
£129.99

Or is that overkill and there's something more suitable inbetween?
