So I booked myself and the OH some tickets to go to Manchester, on the 21st of this month - free train tickets, of course. :D

Anyway, not too sure what we'll do when we get there. I am a train/history person, and if it's free...well I'm there like a bee round honey. :D

So...spec us something to do. :p:o

There are loads of interesting places if you like your history:

Manchester Museum (University of Manchester Museum) - An absolutely cracking little museum that runs various exhibits. A must see if you're around town.

Manchester Museum of Science and Industry - Massive museum with some impressive displays, especially all the planes they have.

Manchester Town Hall - If they'll let you in for a wonder it is an awesome building and next door to the library which is an absolutely awe inspiring place.

Imperial War Museum - Just down the road in Salford. Two minutes by tram. It's a good, if not a tad over rated.
