I love marketing. It's a pivot. Look back through time to the simplest of devices to come across the fabled 'wheel', which utilised a similar mechanism.

Didn't realise this was so old, they are gone now. Would've been pretty cool for limited PS3.

Think again, look at the USB ports and power connections in the base, it's pretty clever how the link between those and the PS3 stays maintained even when turning.
