HI fellow OcUK members. I recently had my old digi cam stolen (WHOOPS) it was a canon a512 3.2mp. I just got onto my Advertising Degree Course and i assume that i will be needing a new camera. I want something awsome. MAx buget of 300pounds realy. Also i dont realy want to go slr or what eva that is. I have been looking @ this Panasonic DMC-LX1 and it has some good reviews, i was wondering if you Photo guys/gals could reccomend me a camera. THankz

It's depends what type of photos you are planning on taking.

The Panasonic DMC-LX1 is a class leader so I would probably get that, don't expect it to be good in low (standard room) light though, 8mp on a small sensor is going to be very grainy at anything higher than ISO 200.

I'd quite fancy the Fuji s7000 for around the £300 mark. Otherwise go for the a620 Canon for £190 and some decent batteries and a good sized SD card.
