Speed up an N70?

Get the firmware flashed with the latest Nokia one from your nearest service centre if your N70 has been network operator branded with custom menus etc.
If texts take a while to pen it sounds like you've set the phone up to store the messages onto the memory card. Change this to the phones internal memory and you should see a difference.

Does provider branding really slow down the S60 phones too much? Quite shocked at how many people have complained about the speed of S60 phones. I get annoyed at any sort of delay (and thats on an 6230i at the moment lol)
Hope the N80 is going to be faster because i'm really looking forward to that phone, and i'm going to be gutted if it's really slow.

no real problems here with my orange 6630. the first time you open things yeah, it takes a while. After than that its normally nevery more than 1-2 seconds to open the text editor. For everything that's slightly slower than my gf's 6230i, the other features more than make up for it. Gaming is quality - i have 'another world' on my phone! that game rocks hard
