Because you shouldn't trust your browser spellchecker. More often than not it will give you an incorrect 'american' spelling and i've found it's missing a lot of words that are in common use. Sometimes it's better to trust your instincts... alternatively, google the word. Even if you've horribly misspelt it google will put you right. Which does make me think that Chrome's spellchecker should probably be a lot better.

I use Chrome and it has English rather than any American dialects in it.

Color
Colour

It picked up "color" as wrong and "colour" as correct. I rely on mine and don't seem to have any problems, however it's not often it underlines anything, barring proper nouns.

Ok, I'll bite.
As a working class person born in an industrial town with a state education that simply sucked, I must really mess up your little generalisation.

I have never and will never use these modern shorthands, not even when I need to send a message in a rush.

I'd be more inclined to say that these issues arise from nothing more than reading comprehension issues.
Luckily I was reading computer programming manuals in junior school and thanks to my eldest bro I was into works from people like Arthur C Clarke, Isaac Asimov and Robert A Heinlein by the time I was ready for high school.
Some people never made it past "Spot plays with a ball", and it shows.

Yes indeed,i have been on the end of it by some grammar nazi on here, fairly sad people with nothing else better to than have a go because their lives are shallow and they have no real friends.

That doesn't at all make you look extremely butthurt. Actually caring about presentable English has nothing to do with what you've listed. How old are you, 9?

How come you're not using a space after punctuation? It makes your sentences a bit awkward to follow.

No you don't.

Why not? Why should anyone take what you have to say seriously if you can't be bothered putting BASIC English to use? It's not hard. I'm dyslexic and I manage to use punctuation and grammar.

Ignorance is the cause, and butthurt is often what keeps it going.
