Spending half the value of a car on bodywork, am I mad?

Well, it's only fair I provide an alternative argument
- It's an E36, you didn't buy it for it's looks.
- Spend the £700 on more powah, not more pretty.
- Unless it's about to fall apart for lack of paint, why waste 700 quid?

£700 seems a very good price for that work, i think you'd be daft not to do it IMO.
Do it. It's when your quoted more than the cost of the car to have bodywork sorted you have to wonder if its worth it. Had a quote of £600+vat per side to have the rear arches and rear of the sills sorted on my MX-5, only paid £1100 for it. Best get shopping around.
