This! There really does seem to be a shortage of Sci Fi at the moment especially now Stargate is pretty much dead!

Hopefully this will be good and won't get cancelled!

Looks promising, I just suspect it will end up in more corny cliches as per so many before it. If it's got a bit if grit about it though, which it looks like it could (and Spielberg isn't exactly known for shying away from this), then it could be awesome.

yup just greatful we still have V and now this, u can put warehouse 13/sanctuary and 2-3 other shows but its fast dropping/canceling during this permanent recession were having.

Now all we have to hope is this thread doesnt end up like Walking dead

Looks awesome. I love Spielberg. The guy is a genius.
Can certainly see aspects of War of the Worlds in that trailer but that's to be expected given Spielberg directed it.

Can't wait for Super 8 and Cowboys & Aliens next year.

Looks like this show might be decent to watch before i agree with most people in this thread saying that most alien based tv shows are getting canned (was surprised that V got renewed for a 2nd season) even thou i don't blame it on the rating but i blame it on the tv company's for having such a large break during the holidays, take FlashForward for example it almost had a 4 month break and when it came back on air most people just forgot about it or lost interest it in which for this reason i blame it for getting canned.

V had the same problem with it taking such a long break but the steady viewing figures saved it from getting canned, i just hope that Falling Skies does not have such a boring story plot or go in the same direction with the story that Lost/FF did.

This issue with having breaks is a pain and Sky dont do a great job of advertising returns. You can use a erminder service on Sky now which emails you when shows are starting again.

Spotted it on apple.com/trailers , nearly ignored it because it sounded dodgy. Glad I didn't.

Well it's not on Fox, who love to commission sci-fi shows then cancel them when they start getting good, see: Firefly, Dollhouse, Terminator (okay that one was debatable in its quality) and no doubt Fringe soon, as they've moved it to the Friday night death slot

Speilberg is obsessed with aliens. When is he gonna wake up and realise there are no aliens.

The effects looked pretty cheap to me.
