SpinPoint F3: differences between 1TB and 500GB?

Hi, is there any difference between the 1TB and 500GB versions of Samsung's SpinPoint F3 hard drives? The 1TB version has a 32MB cache over the 500GB's 16MB, but I'm assuming this is because it has two platters?

Are the access and read/write speeds the same?

They both give 5.9 in Window 7 Index

and I doubt there is any real world use where you will notice any difference. The biggest thing for me was price, as the 500Gb was £38 versus £58 for the 1Tb when I bought it was a no brainer getting an extra 500Gb for £20

dude 1TB is way better bang for buck, btw run windows backup so you backup!

It's not if you don't use the space.

I think you mean "storage for buck", which is true. But if one is never going to use more than 500GB, there's just no point if the read/write speeds are the same.
