Splash of water = dead iPhone X screen!

I was swimming with my iphone 7 in the sea all good, made some videos etc. I didn't care if anything happened though as I had apple care. But nothing happened, washed it in the sink afterwards from the salty water

Same here. Dinghy swamped in the appropriately named shipwreck bay. iphone 7 went for swim. Works fine. Similar thing last year too.
