Spotify

Looks like Spotify is going to go back downhill. After reading that and them saying their aim was to stop people pirating music, in all fairness they probably did reduce the amount of piracy with music. But now only limiting a user to listening to a track for 5 times is a joke and it's just going to start piracy all over again. Perhaps they'll realise this in a few months and have to think about another change.

And for the people commenting on that topic saying you can't complain it's a free service. Well it isn't really because the ads pay for it which we have no choice but to listen to. That's almost like facebook saying we're now limiting people to use their accounts for 5 days a month.

Its especially odd considering the free alternative is getting quite popular.

I suspect that this was either the plan all along or they've got so many people listening that they're losing money and the adverts just aren't cutting it anymore.

on a side note, I have Eleven invites to Spotify unlimited. Email in trust. :)
