Hi,

So looking to spray paint some shelves - White.

Have applied a primer coat last night and it suggested leaving for 24 hours before "rubbing down".

What should I rub it down with? Sandpaper? what type?

I am going to be spraying "gloss White" spray onto it if that makes a difference.

Advice appreciated.

Despite it's name, wet & dry should always be used wet, as suggested.

If you're spraying over with gloss white you don't need to go as fine as 1200. Something like 800 would be perfect but it depends what you have available or what you can get hold of.

A light rub to get rid of any lumps and bumps should suffice.
