Lovely Wolver-ampton!
Have a biostar 210p system which utilises AGP for graphics. currently running a 6600gt tdh card but want to squeeze the last bit of power i can get out of the system before i splash out on a new one.

what sort of agp card can i go for and will i see much of an increase in graphical capabilities and speed?

current system spec is amd 64 3000 with 2gig of ram and a 2gb flash for readyboost

i play cs source, bf2 and swat4

Overclock the card first to see how far it will go, also the this week only ATI card is a very good deal at around 110 sheets, will double frame rate i would guess....

Oh and readyboost I don't think helps game play or frame rate since the graphics card takes most of the heat

I dont remember my 6600gt clocking that well, they are allready pretty good for what they are.
I think its time to sell up agp and switch personally, you wont get any bargains now imo so its hard to argue anything else.

Saying that, there are some 2nd hand versions of AGP cards that would unlock where the pci-e didnt like the 6800le and 6800gs I think can unlock and clock to ultra speeds (roughly). Might be worth a go

I dont play the latest games tbh. But I wouldn't mind a bit smoother gameplay when I do have a sesh on BF2 and I'm sure it will look a whole lot nicer with a better gfx card. I really can't afford to upgrade the lot just yet, and when I do I'll probably go for one of those new Mac desktops with a 20" screen.

I'm limited to AGP anyway, as it's a SFF box with only 1 PCI and 1 AGP slot.
