Is anyone aware of any issues with the support of SSD drives on older motherboards, particularly the TRIM feature?

I've ordered a Crucial M225 128GB in readiness for Windows 7, but wondered whether it will be fully supported by my old Gigabyte P965 DS4 (v1.0).

I considered an upgrade, but love my old Q6600 :)

Works fine on my olde Asus P5W64-WS Pro (975x), probably not quite as fast as it would be if it were on ICH10R or something (P5W64 has ICH7R) but I haven't had any issues.

To be honest I'm not even sure you'd see the benefit of running TRIM unless the drive is badly in need of it, it's not something you run and then suddenly notice massive improvements. In that respect whilst OCZ's wiper app runs on my system, I have not experienced any perceptible benefit from using it.
