Took one of these a run a few months ago and loved it, but could not get insurance and now i can so there is quite a possibility i may buy one. Just after a bit of info on them and reviews if you have one maybe you could give your opinion on it ? Also if there is much tuning potential in the 2.0 duratec joby.

Also the mpg i could expect roughly ? The dealer is pushing me a new one that will be around november by time i get it for £11500, white with the stripes.
Thanks

ace little cars! there is a few owners so I will let them step in but I like them!

Amazing handleing, bit limp compared to the Clio sport, but and exhaust filter and chip/bluefin will see you at about 170bhp I think. I may be wrong but I think the stock exhaust system is really restrictive on these, I think someone will be able to confirm!

I like them! For the money though I you can take the extra insurance hit I'd be looking for a clio trophy, I just love those little cars! Plus I dont agree with buying new, ever!

Clio rattles usually, think the fors will be better. I know about buying new cars..just he was giving a good rate really. But going back to a different dealer who is going to get me a used example from england i think :)

Are you taking about the roof stripes?

I beleive the side skirt stripes and roof stripes are available seperatley. In my opinion they look pretty sporty with the side stripes but the ones over the top...........not for me.

Ye can have one, the other, or both stripes..Its 12k and have to liove with it a while but there pretty rare around here so not seen any for real apart from red (not for me), white looks good...but common.

mpg question anyone ?

Don't see any White Fiesta ST's by me they are all Blue or Red.

I'd have white personally as its a good colour for a hot hatch Ford imho like the old cossies and RS's they all look best in white.

Best thing about white though is you don't see stonechips

Ola!

Wise choice ;), there's a fair bit of potential in tuning the car, induction kit and full exhaust system will see you to about 170ish bhp, but after that it's a bit more of a struggle but is possible for more with a cosworth inlet manifold nearly out and more aggressive cams available. A tuner has recently been able to take the torque limiter off the 1st and second gears with a replacement ecu which also helps accelleration.

Fuel wise it isn't terribly economical, most owners rarely seem to be able to hit the official combined figure of 38mpg without driving like a granny, with a bit of caning it and cruising I tend to average around 30-32mpg.

Tuning the suspension makes the car much better aswell, I have mine lowered on 35mm eibach springs which improves the handing a great deal, and with coilovers I expect even better.

An owner has also recently installed a quaife differential like on the focus rs and says it's the best mod he has ever done to a car and just transforms it.

Erm any other questions just ask, and also the obligatory picture:

I have looked into one of these but there appears to be a shortage of garages that have one that i can get a test drive in. The fuel economy seems good to me my current peugeot 307 2.0L stugles to get 31Mpg my normal is about 28mpg. So if it will get about 35 i will be happy.

Performance blue is a nice colour, but for a Fiesta ST I'd have to have a white one with full stripes, for some reason the roof ones don't seem too garish on a white model.
