I have just received a Vodafone SIM that I am switching to from Three. As it's for data only I used the STAC rather than PAC as I had no need to keep the number. I understand it is the new network's duty to initiate the termination of the old one (with the STAC), but how long does this take or when does it kick in? I have used PAC before where the number will generally transfer over within 24 hours and the outgoing SIM goes dead. However I am currently sitting here with both SIMs fully functional.

Please ignore, as with most things I should have bided my time, 3 SIM is now dead. I had a pretty stressful day with a laptop that wouldn't play ball and I just didn't have the patience to wait for my sim
