Has anyone played this on the 360, my mum is getting it for me today, as im having a 360 for Christmas... whats it like? I thought it looked really good!

If it helps I haven't read a single positive comment regarding the PC version.
 
The issues with the PC version are mainly to do with controls and silly ship AI.

On a gamepad it may be better, I was going to get it for PC but am now looking into the 360 version.

But you can use the 360 pad to play it on a PC and I doubt the AI has been overhauled.
 
Its a pile of crap plain and simple, the most dumbed down trek game yet in which you command ships. Sheilds dont even have different facings theyre just one big bubble that takes damage, unlike a game like klingon academy which had dorsal and ventral sheilds, 6 facings in total you could divert power to.


No configurable controls for the pc version, (console port ++) no real video tweaking options besides detail low to high and shadows on or off.
 
So its not like the old Starfleet Command 1/2 games? :(

May pick up the 360 version for £10 when it comes down, just a game that had so much promise.
 
Only thing decent about the game is the graphics, theyre "ok" at best, you see shadows pass over your ships etc. I was really expecting something like klingon academy where you could divert power to this sheild or that sheild, just to make the fight last, ive seen vids on the net of 12 feds taking out 4 borg ships inside of a minute, i know its a game and all but youd think maybe that kind of battle would have some kind of decent duration to it. You can't even select the enemy ships either, you can select the enemy race but not which ships they have.

this one has a decent duration to it, 8 fed vs 8 borg, game was modded from what i understand to make the borg more resiliant.
 
You can divert power to shields, weapons or engines, Hold down X and move the left stick

My copy is in the hands of Royal Mail (they're not a competitor, are they? :p), so, with any luck, I'll be playing it before the end of the week.

I'm a huge trekkie, so I don't care if it's pants ;)
 
Read a pretty detailed review on it yesterday and it said the game was a real let down. Will give this one a miss.
