Beta client is fine, it just updates with a sub 50Mb patch. So I guess it was just unlocking content we had already downloaded, unless there is another patch at 18:00.
 
How do I get head start access? I have pre-ordered but got beta access through a website and didn't use my preorder key.

Should I start a new character using the preorder key from HMV?
 
Well I enjoyed the beta and cant wait to get the headstart but i must admit i aint got no clue what Im doing LOL

I took the science route in beta and guess i will continue that way with my first step into the great unknown.

See you all on the Trekkie side later and maybe we get to team up at some stage when i know what Im doing :)

Same, it;s all a little confusing. I am not sure if I should put skill points into the different tier ship skills, like heavy cruiser. Someone on the official forums said it would be a waste. Howver my build atm is : and I put some into exploration cruiser mainly because it'll take me ages to level to admiral :)

Just to let you know that i had it pointed out to me last night that the ship skills affect some of your class skills, eg attack pattern alpha.

I was also under the impression that they'd be a waste but apparently they're not.

It has stated that for ages.

However now the site, forums and launcher are down for me. :confused:

Edit, backup but very slow. Looks like the server is having issues, hopefully not load issues otherwise its not a good sign.

Same. I imagine they are being rebooted for maximum stability as soon as several thousands of people hit them all at the same time.

although peeps may have to ease me through how to do things properly and not expect me to be able to text chat plus blow aliens up at the same time ... i mean multi task ???? LOL

cant get anything even through Steam version at mo , luckily i need more cups of tea first anyway :)
