I've watched the episode three times, absolutely loved it. The slower pace is great for me.

I'm bored with all the high octane tripe we've been fed over the last few years.

Rumours are that more TNG cast will slowly be written into the later seasons.

I know one has already been confirmed for season 2, but my guess is that Beverly crusher will come after that.

Geez! Guys, I wouldn't give them a second thought to be honest.
It says more about those types of people today, than it does about star trek, the picard show, or the picard character himself.

TNG had 24 (give or take) episodes a season * 7 = 168 episodes. How many have gone at lenght to complain about anything in those?

I think a lot of people are at pains to get noticed, and will do, or say anything to achieve that. The constantly offended brigade. You can find meaning in anything if you look hard enough.

They'll be the "ban pitbulls" brigade out soon.

Star Trek is pure escapism, and nobody is taking that away from me.

Me for one lol.

Most of series 1 and 2 was dross. Only got good during season 3 and 4. Series 5-7 was a steady decline which peaked with the episode "Masks".

yeah but you haven’t gone at length through every minute of every episode finding fault have you. Some were rubbish, and that sums it up. Period. You dont say, well he said that and she said this, equal rights, subliminal political messages, blah blah blah

or do you :D

This series does not fit well with weekly releases. The story seems better suited to binge watching as I imagine it’s a single story spanning the entire, or even multiple series.
