Yeah I read about it earlier, on TV.com it has a 9.9 rating  should be excellent when they are on here, just wish we had high def as standard

DVDs arent high def :( close but not close enough :p

I would ahve to wait about a year as well, theys hould just sell them on their website. HD downloads at about £2 an episode...

if you can buy the episodes screened in the U.S. they are all broadcast in High definition.

i have a question for you as this has always confused me... if something is broadcast in HD, and someone records it and makes it into an AVI and you download that AVI, are you still watching HD content ?

HD basically refers to the resolution, the "avi's" aren't usually in sufficiently high enough a resolution to be considered hi-def.

If I liked SG I'd watch them tonight, but I don't :p However I will be looking forward to the new BSG, especially with the ending to the last season.

Well, the original was HD but what your watching isnt. They are somthing like 600x360 (dont know exactly and it probably varies)

I'd imagine sky and telewest will broadcast them in HD on skyone HD.

As for the .avi question, generally no they are still at a much much lower resolution. Even with good compression HD res video is huge.

ah, i havn't seen the movie yet. never really fancied it. my friend told me it mainly concentrated on the brother/sister thing, which tbh never really interested me too much. i prefered the other characters.

especially SAFRON!!!

There are lots of good TV shows now...

I've recently been watching "The Shield", it came out ages ago, but i only just discovered it

watched 3 seasons in a week, and half way through the 4th now.

Another show called "The Nine", has Audrey from 24, sucré's girlfriend from "Prison break"... the main character from "Eyes"...the doctor from "Enterprise"...seems like it could be good.

firefly meh, what about SPACE ABOVE AND BEYOND!???
I'm still waiting for that to come back! (and you thought YOUR hope was futile!)

Space Above and beyond was immensly awesome, i never did find them on DvD? I think there was an internet plea for them.

SG-1 and SGA are equally awesome

They only started shooting Series 3 of Battlestar first week in May this year.... and its sceduled for 20 ep. again....

As far as I know, the Sci-Fi channel in America is looking into doing a Spin-off series set 50 years before BSG.... the show is massive out there at the moment, so I'm sure there will be a 4th season too.

i dont think its 50 years before, its going to be called Caprica and run concurrently with Battlestar Galactica.
