9th  :) :D

Maybe the Furlings went there :p

They got fed up with people looking for them and spamming forums about them.

Perhaps it is tie'd into the Stargate Worlds mmorpg? :)

It's sad when a show doesn't realise it jumped the shark quite some time ago.

Agreed, got bored of SG1 aftet about 5 or 6 series. Moved on to atlantis, getting bored of that now.

Cool, hopefully they can do something good with it (same goes for the mmorpg). Looking forward to the 2 dvd movies as well. :)

I hope Jackson, Baal and Mitchell go over to the third series, with Carter going to Atlantis the best characters will be saved :)

None of the original cast are going to be in it, except for a guest spot here and there - most likely carter or mckay - as scientists can be used anywhere.

This was taken from malozzi's blog, and i for one am glad. If they revived SG1 with O'Neill as a regular, then that would be great; otherwise just let it die, make the movies and another separate series.

Apparently this one isn't going to be a spinoff, it's a stand alone.

That's something I don't get. How can it be more stand alone than Atlantis? Unless it simply has nothing to do with the other series.

Atlantis was always referring to Earth, the same cast, events happening in the Milkyway, the same ships etc... this hopes to be completely separate :)

Blasphemy!

Meh, as far as I'm concerned the original series should have ended with the defeat of the Goaul'd (good grief how do you spell that?)

The whole thing with the Ori felt tacky from the beginning... The first few seasons were about Earth as a vastly inferior, technologically speaking, planet going up against the impossible odds of established galactic evil. The minute they created their own spaceship I knew things were only going to go downhill. Now Earth is a real player in the galaxy and it suddenly got much less interesting. The seasons with the Ori just felt like a plot that got tacked on to extend the money spinning series.

Isnt it amazing how Sam Carter is an expert in every scientic field imaginable.. quantum physics etc etc etc.. shes even been known to "help out" in the medical/biological world. how did she earn all these doctorates in such a short time, she looks young 30ish as well

So it this going to be in a galaxy far, far away? Surely stargate would lose most of it's appeal if it was no longer about Earth's expansion into space.
