Started playing CSS again but my 7800GTX256MB is not likeing it.

Yep, Just started playing Css again and its great!Apart from the fact that in certain places on some maps it kills my FPS

Running at
1920/1200
Everything it max
HDR lighting full.

Now HDR would kill my FPS so I switched to bloom and while there was improvement it would still drop down to a slide show in certain areas of maps, Office for example...The garage for some reason when someone throws a smoke grenade it gets so jumpy I have to look away from it so I can move

With no bloom/HDR its fine but this card while being old should be more than upto the job of running the source engine?

PS the card is overclocked to 490/1300

css likes a reformat and fresh install of windows. Found that out myself. My x1800xt hated it after a few months of windows clogging up.

It may be a fast card, but i just think it's not up to running everything at max at that resolution. Try dropping it down a bit
