steam account stolen help :(

so last night im on steam and a message pops up saying that someone is logged into my account elsewhere, it then proceeds to log me off. now when i try to log back in it says my passwrd is invalid and my freinds say my account is logged in but that it has blocked them all.
i have gone through the steam procedure but i was wondering whether anybody else has had this happen to them before or has any advice.

I'm sorry phill0i, but can i ask you a simple question - why in the hell did you not validated your email address in STEAM ? Otherwise it would be impossible to steal your STEAM account.

My steam got hacked a few months ago too.

You basically need to send them a scan/photo of a serial of one of the games on it, so they know its deffo yours.

I didn't bother in the end, the **** deleted all my friends...and a friend of mine had a spare account which he gave me

Only had hl/hl2 on it though...only play 1.6

Erm.. you can't change the email if it's verified.. they would need to verify it through your account email address.

My steam account got stolen years ago and I had no way to proove it was orignally mine. Sucks. I ended up making a new one and I had to buy my games again.

Start Steam - File - Settings - Account - Validate Email Address - Then you get sent an email to open from your contact email address - go back to settings and your contact email should be ( Verified )

This is why i refuse to use any online digital games service, i hate steam with a passion, at least my retail games cant get hacked.

same thing happened to me a while ago, got it back when i took a photo of a cd key from like 4 years ago that i was about to throw out with some other code they give you.. and got it back
