Steam Cleaning / Jet washing engine bay

Does anyone know what chemicals you need to jetwash an engine bay and get all the grease off it. My mechanic usually does it but his jetwash blew up and he says the chemicals he used 'truck wash' can only be bought in 50 litre drums at about £200 each

Not worth it for a one off job!

Anyone know something that can be bought off the shelf?

I was planning on using the karcher, but not the lance spray, just the one that creates a nice general mist, far more gentle and I was planning on taking out the battery!

What is the full brand name of Truck Wash?
I did a google on that earlier and drew a blank. If it's as good as you say I might buy 25 litres and use it more often, but I need to know the sort of shop that would stock it.
