steam games and g25 profiler

hi all i will try to explain as best as i can.

right i have a few racing games now and want to make different profiles for the g25 as each game is different the games i have are

dirt2
grt evo
race 07
stcc
race on

now when it comes to making the profiles it ask for the exe file,but steam games are not exe files and when i try using the steam game icon ie for dirt2 it only opens the steam window with my games in,the second problem is i cant make another profile as it overwrites my other profile (does it make sense so far) so unless there's another way or i have missed something it means i have to do it manually which is a pain in the rear

so any ideas work arounds i can do?

At work so can't check this, but aren't the exe files under here somewhere...

{steam-install-path}\SteamApps\Common\{game-name}\{game-name.exe}

i.e. "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Left4Dead2\Left4Dead2.exe"

So just point your profile at the exe file from that folder, rather than the desktop shortcut which is just steam.exe?

You might need to change your desktop shortcut as well though, try it with the original steam shortcut first I guess.

Yes all games are in the Steamapps folder within steam.

yep your right i got dirt2 to work from profiler ok,but then i couldnt get race 07 to work for some odd reason as it kept asking for steam.dll not found so thought i copy and paste it from steam to the race 07 folder and now it works a treat.
