Since they have been doing it with some games that have sold well.
Yup, seems to be a new characteristic of the sales - need to remember this for future Steam sales.

Was it only Terraria that went up in price, I could've sworn portal 2 was 10?
I was also going buy Terraria today..But not now they bumped the price upAye, its not so much the cost, but the principle. These little sudden price increases do get annoying, especially if its still being advertised at lower price on the front page.

Putting the prices up half way through a 24 hour daily sale just because the game selling better then they thought it would is really not on![]()
Just picked up Supreme Commander 2. Love RTS games but never played this. How is the online? Steep learning curve?
Agreed. Was half tempted to buy it after all the recommendations - but now I won't simply because of principal.
I might have done it if this was a once off where they'd mistakenly put the wrong price, but I remember this happening a few times during the xmas sale too.
It has happened a few times through this sale too. Was going to buy Risen, but didn't for this very reason.
Risen was only at the price for a couple of minutes and was obviously a mistake since they corrected it so quickly, this was simply a case of them filling their quota of cheap games before bumping up the price.
I managed to get it at 75% off though so I'm not complaining![]()
It could have been a pricing mistake..
Notice how it says only 50% off on the steam updated news part..

Interesting. Looks like they made a boo boo from the off with it. I guess some people should be thankful they got it so cheap, rather than complaining about the price. :o
Just think of it as an incentive to get in quickly next time.![]()
But thats the thing, not all of us can always be at the computer at 6pm.
It isn't much money, but if I paid a few punds extra for each game it would soon add up. It is more of a principle thing than anything - that and the fact that I have far too many games that I never get around to playing.
Edit: Decided to buy Post Apocalyptic Mayhem, looks fun for only £1.49![]()
