Steam Summer Sale 2011

Fair enough. I'd personally wait until the next sale when it might be about £5, but then I have bought enough games to last until Christmas!

This is the great thing about the sales. So many games to play now, most of us can wait until the others on our wishlist are a fiver or less :D

I bought Torchlight and Hitman: Blood Money for the huge total of £4.08 :)


Oh and DNF isn't awful at all, it's not the best game ever but it's still good fun.

Bought this and Black Shark. Also found my X52 and even more surprised to find drivers for W7 64 bit. Ages since I have played a sim. Also registered on ED.

I spent 3 days playing it constantly with some mates on our server, one of the best games ive played in a while. Was fully worth it at full price, now its a steal even if they did put the price up slightly.

I ended up caving on Risen, simply because it IS a game I'd been tempted to pick up at full price and then around the £20 mark, but didn't get round to it. I wasn't happy with it happening with Risen, but it happened extremely early into the sales and I went for it in the end simply as originally I was going to pay more for it in the first place.

For a game I was just picking up as throwaway and not even convinced I'll bother with like Terraria however, it's a different story. The only reason I'll now consider picking this up before it shifts off the sale is if my little brother REALLY wants to play with me on it. (which was the main reason I'd considered it in the first place)

They really ought to stop things like this happening; if it's a 24 hour sale, it really should remain one price for 24 hours, or it defeats the object, or if its a lower price until XXXX units have been sold, they ought to specify; that way people wouldn't feel so aggrieved if the price increased, and it wouldnt feel like a sly increase on something selling well.

Not sure if the offer is still on but someone spotted it for £14.99 at gameplay a few days back.

Also got DS2 and its downloaded over night so I'll have a go on it later :D
