Steam Summer Sale

yeah its just truly bizzare tbh i dont see what u get from it at all and im normally sucked into random stuff like this,i understand rare items to a point but generally there just not worth the grind or hassle tbh but it is nice to have them for real world money hell no.
i do kinda like the trading cards but they should have made like a mini game with them or something so u could use them to play something like top trumps or the gathering style gameplay atleast then they would be useful wow 90 i saw someone at 96 also just sheerly incredible i can only imagine how much money they have spent buying all those cards not sure what for though is there amny real benefit from leveling your steam account?

A TCG would have been awesome, imo anyway but I've always loved TCG's so I know I'm biased. But I don't see the point of collecting them then destroying them for a badge..

I'll maybe trade some and go for the set of a particular game for the **** of it but beyond that I don't see myself putting any effort into it.

how much chivalry work out to be?

£3.56 for Chivalry
£5.10 for Borderlands 2

Bought both 4 packs. Will put them properly on an MM post later but if you want to "reserve" one send me a trust email or add me on steam. I'm going out now but I'll be back this evening not too late I hope.

I see absolutely zero use for these cards other than to 'XP your account' - which is, of zero use?

Completing the sets apparantly unlocks stuff to do with your profile. Background pics, emoticons to use when messaging people. Stuff like that.

As someone who almost never accesses my profile, they have virtually no value to me. I honestly cant be bothered to sell them though. I think even my foil card is only worth about 70p.

Can't? There's surely no such thing . What's your setup?

True. It's not that I CANT, it's that I dont want too. Nothing special 3570k with a 670, but in the loft its scorching! It's like a sauna up here!

Missed buying Dragon born and Bioshock Infinite on the first day as my card was declined... bought sometyhing today, but now those games have gone up again. :(

Spent last night selling the trading cards and tf2 hats/weapons.

Trading cards went for about £0.20 each.
TF2 stuff went for about £2 each!

There are a lot of people out there with a lot of disposable income.

I think I've bought like 3-4 games during all the Steam Sales. Not because of the price but because it'd take an age to download them. Would like a few games but oh well. Can't even load steampowered.com ATM so that's how bad it is.

That's annoying. What temperatures do you get and what cooling you using? The room my pc's in is pretty darn hot and well insulated but I don't get to extreme system temps (power supply might be a different story I suppose, hard to know...)

Is Age of Empires II HD worth it?

When I played it for a bit, it was pretty much exactly the same. The only differences I seem to remember was that it enabled you to use widescreen resolutions and could be played online against people on Steam (laggy at the time though). This was at release though so maybe it's better now.
