Steam Summer Sale

Glad to have picked up Fallout NV: Lonesome Road and the Gun Runner's Arsenal DLCs for £1.48 in total... (When I bought NV originally in a previous sale it came with the other 3 DLCs so it just felt like wasting money to re-buy the ultimate edition)...

I'm dissapointed KSP isn't a bit cheaper, would have got it if it was more like £5... Perhaps in the next sale. It's a shame that, and also when Prison Architect gets its Daily day (it will - the featured daily deals have all been off of the summer trading cards so far) I bet it will be about £10 as well

Here's holding out for Skyrim Legendery 75%

Finally going to get ARMA 2 so that I can play Day Z is there any point to getting the complete version over combined operations if I am only going to play Day Z?

Thanks!

All the complete version has over combined ops is the DLC's (note that combined ops is required to run DayZ). I have the DLC's and the only difference it makes in DayZ is the textures of some things, such as the ghille suit, hero skin, survivor skin and the camo outfit. I also think the SUV is retextured. Basically, your paying the extra money for higher-res textures on some models/objects (unless you will play the vanilla game).

Yep definately but you can buy Fallout 3 GOTY + Fallout NV GOTY @ retail for the same price its down to how much you really want them all on Steam & or Fallout 1+2!

Hmmm I think this time I will only buy Fallout 3 GOTY + Fallout NV GOTY

I have seen how Fallout 1 & 2 look and tbh not very keen on those old graphics/style :p

I tried New Vegas on Xbox, couldnt played it for an hour then went back to it a month later and had no idea what i was doing.

Yet I am strongly drawn to tryout 3 on pc!

Also looking at deadlight hmmm

Learned my lesson with Skyrim that Bethesda games should only ever be bought on the PC, so happy to give NV another go. I bet Nexusmods will be taking a hammering over the next week.

I missed the Skyrim DLC on Day 1, I hope it's repeated..

Thanks, saves me a couple of pounds for something else then :) Finally get to try out Day Z now :D

Is it worth getting the Ultimate edition of Fallout :NV? I mean, it's double the price of the vanilla game and i'm on a tight budget... So, are the DLCs worth it?

The DLC is very much worth it in my opinion, and the weapon packs will make your entry into the world a little less harsh ;)

Fallout 3 not good for win 7 any experience in that?

Works fine for me, couple of hundred hours logged on NV, only a couple of crashes but I may just be fortunate.

/edit, not NV, FO3. Although I have a couple of hundred hours logged on each, which is frankly a little frightening :P

NBA 2K13?

Seems to have great reviews, but anyone got an opinion that perhaps isn't a massive basketball fan?

Bought Kerbal Space Program, it is the only game that I actually wanted get in the sale.

Other than that I have got just about every other game that I had my eye on, except Metro Last Light.

So is the weapons pack worth it or does it diminish the experience? Kinda wish I had better weapons early on :p.

Oh, and which of these are worth buying; Lonesome Road, Old World Blues and Gun Runner's. Bought the other two main DLCs when I picked up NV in an earlier sale.

Bought Anno 2070. Now battling with uPlay.

I think it might be even worse than Origin.

Omg no kidding, I was about to start playing another game and thought "I'll give Anno a bash". 15 minutes later I still haven't managed to get it loaded up yet! Frustrating as all hell, why these game companies feel the need to shovel their crappy online services down our throats is anyone's guess. They bring nothing good to the experience!

Edit: It has finally finished and now it wants me to login to uPlay! I bought the damn game on Steam, why the heck do I need to sign into another online service in order to play it :( It is especially annoying given that only a few weeks ago they emailed me to say their account system was hacked and I'd need to reset my password. So now I have to actually use an insecure system.

Edit 2: WTH! Now I've logged in, it gives me an interface similar to Origin and Steam, and then I have to launch the game through that, but it isn't even in there! What an absolute load of rubbish.
