Just had my MOT done and its passed which is great however they noted down some slight wear to the offside stearing rack..

Is this serious and what costs would be involved roughly to get it sorted ?

Alfa 156 1.8TS Veloce X Reg.

Not at all - only realised today when i got home and saw a small note on a bit of paper attached to the certificate.

It's clearly not serious or it would have failed it's MOT. I suspect either the track rod ball joint is a little worn or the bush at the end of the rack is worn. Track rods can usualy be replaced separately, but if the bush is worn you will need a new (probably silly money) or reconditioned rack.

The description isn't very clear, is that exactly what was written down?

Yeah thats all that was written down. I think my best bet is to contact them and ask them to explain in more detail.

Wish I knew more about mechanics tbh.. i dont trust garages at all.
