Steve Jobs Takes Medical Leave

Seems to be the 'in thing' at the moment with the gutterpress, taking snaps of people suffering from cancer.

Michael Douglas, Patrick Swayze, Steve Jobs, etc. Pretty sick tbh. I've removed the pic.
 
I've not seen the reports myself yet but a chap in work read something by a couple of doctors who reckon that based on those photos that he's probably got about six weeks to live. I didn't see it myself but those pictures really aren't promising.
 
Just saw those photos from the enquirer. Looks like an 80 year old :(

Here's hoping he's just having problems with his weight, and the cancer hasn't returned.
 
This puts a real downer on anyone's day...

I've never been the biggest fan of Apple, but you simply can't deny the massive influence he's had over the technological world, and what's more the products that Apple come out with often start to pave the way for the next technology....

Really hope he pulls through, cancer isn't nice :S

i've no idea how these so called "experts" can work out he has 6 weeks to live purely based upon a photo of his hands !!!

You'll be able to get yourself diagnosed over the phone with a picture message next ....

/OT Believe it or not, you actually can diagnose a lot of conditions just by looking at the hands, where certain fat deposits are etc. It's a type of diagnostic medicine that's sadly dying out though.

The counter news article though pointed out that neither of the two Doctor's consulted by the Enquirer to look at the pictures were Cancer Specialists, so it further highlights how futile their judgement is, certainly to give a time frame as to how long he has to live.
 
He deserves the best possible care currently available because of the influence he has had and currently has in the marketplace. One thing is for sure he's not the type to sit around and do nothing with his the time he has left. Of course he's more deserving, any pioneer would be and if I was making that list he'd be at the top of it.
 
OK, Steve Jobs isn't exactly the most liked person in the world there are those who don't like the way he & the other directors of Apple run that firm, but Kudos to him & the phenomenal success he's brought to them.

Weren't Apple on track to be the world's largest Company in terms of revenue? If so it would be a pity if Steve didn't live long enough to see that. I wouldn't wish Cancer on anyone so get well soon.
 
Tough choice - life or using some/all of your $6.5bn personal wealth to get somewhere quickly.

Man's worked for a living..

Newsflash, people undergoing Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy do look awful.

Doesn't mean they are going to die.

I saw my mum gradually die of cancer over a 13 month period. The Doctors gave her 12 months. Equally i've seen other family members and friends survive it, and they looked no better during the same stage of treatment.

Its when they look no better after the treatment has finished that you need to worry.
