Still life inspiration?

So I need to do a still life photograph as part of my course using a large format film camera (5x4) in black and white film and I'm feeling rather uninspired when it comes to ideas.

Anyone got any suggestions?

On the other hand, maybe you can browse pbase.com for a while and see what other people are doing...

I've often thought about trying to recreate some famous still life paintings as photographs. One I've had in mind is Dali's "Living Still Life". Obviously some artistic licence will be needed! I'll get round to it one day. Need to wait for Romanescus cauliflowers to comer back in season tho, roll on September!!
