still trying to grasp where AMD cards are vs NVIDA

Iv been working for the last 2 weeks selling a ton of my other hobby stuff i had to help fund a new Gaming PC, i have a 1440p ASUS gaming monitor i bought of a friend to run with a 2060 (dont laugh too loud) so I ended up just not using the PC and the rest of the components are I kid you not 8 or so years old.

Im trying to decide on which gpu to get to pair with my monitor, reading that the new 4000 series GPUs are likely going to be delayed and drip fed over the next few months which im not prepared to wait for if true. What would be my best budget card from AMD. I years ago had a 280x and loved it so iv no issue with AMD at all.

Is it right to assume the 6700XT is roughly comparable to to a 3070 ?If thats the case there are some great prices on them at the moment

Im going to put it on market place this weekend to try and add another 120 quid to my budget

Iv still not decided i guess as its a full system build that is being done and im aiming for £1200 max for the tower itself

Although in your place I would hold on to 2060 until RDNA3 and Nvidia 4000 are out.

from what i have seen the 4000 isnt going to be out for some time and will be drip fed.
