I had a look for a thread on this, if there is one please remove.

Seems this is the biggest thing on the internet right now. An 83 year old man and his son entered into a contract with a local Bricks and Minifigs store to sell 200k's worth of Star Wars Legos they had collected over the last couple of decades. At some point the store was taken over by corporate and given to someone else. After trying to get his property back and failing, he contacted youtuber Reckless Ben. What went down, is simply forking... unbelievable.

A lot of the redacted police body cam has since been leaked which has made the police look even more corrupt.

Been watching this unfold these last few days, it has it all, police corruption, police / mormon collusion, corperations abusing the laws. It beggars belief just how far bam are willing to take it!

I saw the first video earlier, pretty crazy stuff tbh.

An over $200,000 collection essentially stolen, and it seems like it's extremely easy for companies to do that sort of thing (at least in the states) judging from what little I've seen.

It's a bit long at almost an hour, but this is a good summary of events or you could wait for the Netflix series :cry:.


The GoFundMe that was raised to reimburse the old bloke's $200,000 Lego collection is now standing at $385,000. However, considering the legal charges against Reckless Ben he might need some of that, his legal fees could be up over $1M. Mind you, he'll probably get back more than 10 times that from the police department from all the trumped up charges.

Watch it in parts if you have to. It's that good it deserves being watched.

You'll miss out on how wild the YouTuber is. I. E creating a cult to lure information.

The social engineering bit with that young store assistant made me laugh, took me back to the Mitnick days and proves how viable and timeless that sort of strategy is, and no doubt was long beforehand.
