Straight friends kicked out of a Creation Museum

Damn right! just like farmers on private property should be allowed to force black people to work all day and not pay them. It's not public property!

Oh... wait...

Imbecile.
While I'm not sure I agree with kwerk, this isn't about forcing someone to do anything, it'd be more like refusing to let black people onto your land to work.

Professing outrage does nothing but validate people like this.

Laugh at their idiocy and move on. They're free to do what they want on their own land, and forcing them otherwise will only strengthen their resolve.

It's pretty obvious what going to happen when you pose as a gay couple and turn up to a fundamentalist christian 'date night'. They are IRL trolls, the $70 is basically a troll tax.

Then they should be required to give a refund.

Otherwise you could do a nice quick scam, open "restaurant" spend a fair bit on advertising and how amazing it is fill your opening night order book with tickets like this place then just turn everyone away for having the wrong shoes and pocket a load of cash for simply some advertising.

Tbh quite a good idea.

As for the op a private function in a private facility imo gives them the right to admit who they want.

i was calling Kwerk out on the fact that he's implying that if it's private land you can be as discriminatory as you want... which you can't.

I know you are all saying that it is private property and they have the right to refuse entry, but you do know that the museum has tax free donations right?

very good point.

I think that should apply to churches/religious organisations too, if they receive tax exempt status they're essentially being publicly funded hence shouldn't be able to discriminate to the degree private enterprise should.

Woah, tax except != public funded. Not contributing to a public fund != the public fund paying you.

If you are the only one exempt from paying a forced fee you are being funded.

Want to be private fine be private but you should get no extra help from the state for it you should be treated as any other private business enterprise.

Hmmmmm.......

Last Supper = Jesus + 12 Blokes + Table + Meal = SAUSAGE FEST!!!!!

Minus the sausage fest :) thats what i was thinking as i read down this thread, Plus a probability that at some point they all joined hands in prayer, omg 12 men all holding hands how gay must they have been. Wonder if far right christiens realise that ? :)

Religeon is just another way for people to control what other people do, makes me sick.

Almost every church in America is tax exempt. It's not exactly hard to get tax exempt status. Even the KKK is tax exempt.

Well, Kentucky is almost in "The South" so I'm not too surprised. I actually drove through the south a few days ago (1200 miles in 2.5 days - eek) and some of the posters you see on the side of the road are just  I try not to venture south of Illinois if I can help it :D
