Ok I have a 9600Pro 128Mb on windows XP Pro 32bit with the latest Catakyst drivers and I am getting a very strange issue with my icons all being blurry, also the font is hard to read on some windows but not others. Before I installed the ATi drivers the picture was perfect when windows was using the generic VGA driver.

What can I do to fix this issue guys?

were there any other drivers on before?

have you tried any other drivers?

try running driver cleaner in safe mode and then redo them or try a diff set.

its always best to run driver cleaner before you put on ya gfx drivers unless its a fresh install of ya os.

from what ya say its a fresh install (Before I installed the ATi drivers the picture was perfect when windows was using the generic VGA driver) but running driver cleaner cant hurt and worth a try imo.

I have installed the drivers twice now and used driver cleaner to uninstall fully both times too, I still have the same issue. Where can I find older versions of the ATi drivers as this newest set are obviously no good.

Ok I have just realised that the S3 Savage gfx drivers were still installed, I have removed them and the ATi drivers and will try another fresh install, I hope it works.

Nothing seems to fix this issue, I have even updated the bios out of desperation.

who make the card.

i had issues with using generic ati drivers from the ati wesite.

went onto the manufacturer of my card (HIS) and it runs perfect now

Ok so I tried everything including a fresh windows install and still it did not work. I decided to go out and buy a new ATi Radeon 9550, installed and it works fine. That means my $23 bargain Radeon 9600 was not such a bargain after all.
