My dad as a Nokia x3-02, not the best of phones but it serves him well for what he needs, but just recently something strange has been happening, over the past month 3 pictures have appeared on his phone, which he didn't take. Bluetooth is turned off and he isnt paired with anyone he has a few MMS which are unrelated to these pictures, one picture actually appears while i was with him and was acutally watching some TV with me and his phone was out on the side i had only just checked his phone 5 minutes before to see if i could find some way of finding out where they had come from but yet, so its not has if he's even in the same place when its happening...

Anyone got any clues to whats happening?

just random pictures of different people, nothing sinister or rude, when you look at the picture details it gives the filename and says sent on the *whatever date* ..

Could he somehow be saving them from Facebook, 'cos i know he uses that a lot on his phone, but in that case why would the file details say "sent" and not saved

Now that is weird...

Only explanation I can think of is ghosts...

Not sure how much help that is...

Edit: or maybe it's syncing with teh internetz... Possibly facebook, they seem to like to mess arounnd with their systems to make them do weird and wonderful things ;)

Probably is Facebook, can't think how else it could be happening. Unless it is ghosts :)

Ill have a look into that tomorrow, but yeah it's strange i know theres an explanation somewhere, honestly don't know if the phone advanced enough to sync though... thanks guys :)

:EDIT: i'll look into the syncing bit, not ghosts haha

If you gave us filenames and stamp times it would probably help. Assuming this isn't a reconditioned handset and he's not signed up to any premium SMS type stuff then pic sync is the most likely option.

it was a brand new handset when first bought and i ruled out the premium sms angle already, ill grab a hold of the phone later when he comes to mine and post any details which come with the files

problem solved, for some reason if you click on a picture on facebook and click see full size it automatically downloads the picture to the phone instead of just... you making it full size lol
