Strange problem with monitor...

When I shut down my computer, my monitor still has some light in it for some reason... If that makes sense. I turn the computer off, and turn the monitor off so it -isn't- on Standby mode, and the screen goes all black but it is still lit up a little. You can notice it.

Only when I pull the power plug out of it does it properly turn off.

This is only a recent problem. Why is it happening and how can I fix it?

Are you sure the on/off button isn't actually or configured to standby. Remember, the PSU is still receiving power regrdless if the screen is turned off.

This should be in monitors.
