Strange Problem with PES 2008 and Dell 2407

As per title, i am having a very strange problem with PES 2008 and my Dell 2407 - basically its like dark writing appears in the bottom left on the screen - it is not always present, it happens during a match and is especially noticable when you run into the shade - i have attached some pictures to try and demonstrate the problem:

Now this problem is not present on the main screen and also in games like Forza 2 and virtua tennis it is not present - so i presume its not a problem with my screen and maybe its with the game

on closer inspection, it appears the black writing is in fact a copy of the players name on the bottom of the screen - now i can eradicate this issue by turning off the option to display the players name at the bottom of the screen

Still a bit annoying- anyone else had this problem?

Are you running the 360 at 1920 x 1080 ?

I have an issue with black banding lines in the same corner of the screen as your having the writing.

I can make it dissapear by changing the sharpness setting in the panels settings although I have to change it every time as the panel forgets ....

yea thats what im running it at - i have the dell connected to the 360 through the official vga cable:

Settings:

Wide Mode: Fill
Sharpness: 50

What do you set it to to sort out the issue?
