Wish i was in a Ramen Shop Counter
Got online last night and had a few go, so far I got a few weird things going on

1 - Who is that Dinosaurs looking driver who skips around the race track, he isn't the standard listed characters.

2 - The game crashes when I am winning ! i an guessing it's when the losing players disconnect and don't want to get the stats. What a bunch of losers !!! Because of this i have yet to win a race ! Been winning a few times with 1 lap to go.....

1 - ******SPOILER****** dry bones, a secret character you unlock.

2 - online if everyone quites you get an opponents disconnect message. welcome to the internet, you appear not to have been here for long if this suprises you.

1: Probably Yoshi -*spoilers*You can unlock carts and characters by the single player races with A or Star ratings*spoilers*

2: I don't know about crashing, but if memory serves if they disconnect you still win by default.

Yoshi is a default character.

No, you don't. It all depends on how they disconnected.

The problem regarding the disconnections is well noted on many nintendo forums. It's regarding an issue with some routers mainly the 3com, Belkin and some Netgear models, whereby after 600 secs (less or more) the person would automatically disconnect. This is mainly to do with the following:

Unfortunately, your problems lie within your router which has difficulty with the low speed of the DS WI-FI connection of 1 to 2 mbps. Most routers can be set to auto or that specific speed in order to handle it but yours and several Belkin ones too have no way to set that speed and therefore will cut-out after exactly 10 minutes on MKDS matches. Your only option is to get a new router, like the Netgear DG834G v2. Sorry but there truly is no other solution.

I too did have the same problem with my 3Com 3CRWD100A-72 router, and so had to resort to using the Official Nintendo USB Wifi Adapter which works flawlessly. You could also use the Datel WiFi Max Adapter if you want.

I know it's quite bad having to spend more money when existing hardware can possibly do this and I have contacted 3Com regarding this issue but they just fobbed me off saying that their new model supports the transmission rate feature that the DS required which is of no use to me.

I suppose it is better this way having my router back on WPA-PSK instead of WEP but I would have liked it working straight off my router.

Edit: And the character you're talking about is called Dead Bones.

*boots up DS*

Nope, I was right... look up a ton of posts.

I use the USR 8054 wireless router with zero issues.
